This type of adhesive comprises of a unique liquid resin that hardens (or cures) to a durable solid, when visible to metal ions – in airless environments. Anaerobic adhesives are used to augment the seal or fill a gap to prevent movement and protect against corrosion. Perfect for pipe sealing, gasket making and threadsealing.
A single component adhesive that polymerises quickly when pressed into a thin film, between two parts. The moisture absorbs on the surface to promote the curing of the adhesive. Soon enough, you’ll have a strong bond. Cyanoacrylate adhesives, also known as “super glues” are used on a wide range of materials – especially for difficult rubbers and plastics, medical, first aid and veterinary applications.
Containing acrylic polymers, this type of adhesive is very strong and ideal for bonding steel, aluminium, zinc and other metal alloys as well as wood and even most plastics.. Acrylic adhesives are sunlight-resistant and aren’t affected by water or changes in temperature. Used in aircraft manufacture, bus train and tram interiors,
Available in both single and two part. Single part require heat to cure but both types are very strong with great durability. It’s the most widely used adhesive, for its efficiency, insulation properties and water resistance. Suitable for metals, most plastics, wood stone and concrete. Single Part epoxies are used in sealing heat exchanges, tool bonding and bicycle frames, while the two part epoxies are designed for potting and encapsulation of electrical components, for use where structural and high impact bond is required.
Ultraviolet adhesives are a photochemical process, where the UV light instantly cures, or “dry” inks, adhesives. It’s fast, improves solvent resistance and bonds well. Permabond UV Cure adhesives are very high strength and are non-yellowing, perfect for glass, acrylics and polycarbonate.
